INsightKristen on "Editing code for making the page partially static."

I have added some wording to the top of my page that I want to have stay in place. The title, gratitude and the open positions sections I want to remain in place. The posts that post below that, however, I want to change as I add new posts. The problem I’m having is that when I post a new post, it covers the text at the top, completely hiding it.
The site is at http://www.insightparanormal.org
I do not want to put the “static” text in the top in a post and setting it as sticky, because it has all the little post icons, etc…date…around it. I don’t want to change the look of that area, as I like the clean look of it.
Any idea how to fix this?

Hey all,
I’m new to this forum so I hope that I got the right sub-forum to post this in.
I need some javascript code for an image rotator/cycle for my homepage. I am using a static homepage (so it doesn’t have news). I want to be able to display some images of what I do and have them changing every 10 secs or so, but I’m not too good at javascript.
Can anyone help? It can either be in the section where you edit pages (i.e. in the admin section) or actually going into the source and editing it from there. I need walkthroughs for this though.
Thanks a lot to anyone who is of help,
tom125
P.S. My site is http://www.mrof1engineering.co.uk (still under heavy construction)

I opted for a static page and although I managed to get the FCG on the “page.php” template. I lost my sidebar.

“Note that .htaccess is a hidden file in Unix/Linux (as dictated by the preceding period ‘.’), meaning it may not be visible using the default settings of some FTP clients. “
Unhide the hidden files
If you find the need to create one, use your ftp client or file manager to navigate to the root of your blog, and create a file there named .htaccess with no extension. The “dot” may make it hidden right after creation. (See the above reference.)
