lbpp on "WP Login in pop up with refresh parent on login"
July 29, 2010 by David Olsen
So as everyone knows the default wordpress login page isnt very easy to customize. Currently I have a link in my header for “Login”, this pops up a window with a login box. The problem I am having is upon successful login I want the popup to A. set the session B. close the popup and refresh the parent window, which is the index of the site, using javascript. After looking at wp_login.php, I see where the redirect is taking place but I am just lost on how to insert the refresh as part of the $redirect_to. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction? Here is the site for ref – http://www.LBPP.net
thanks!
